Yogoda
Satsanga Society of India also undertakes various medical,
relief and other services. In its more than 80 years of
existence, YSS has grown to administer over 21 educational
institutions based upon Paramahansa Yogananda’s “How-to-Live”
concepts. YSS also serve thousands of patients every year
through many homeopathic and allopathic dispensaries. An
orthopaedic clinic, free eye camps, poor feeding, and helping
leprosy colonies and orphanages, constitute its other
charitable activities.
Another form of service is the “YSS/SRF
Worldwide Prayer Circle.”
Paramahansa Yoganandaji established
a prayer council of monastic disciples of Yogoda Satsanga
Society of India and Self-Realization Fellowship, and a
worldwide prayer circle of YSS/SRF members and friends. Each
day in meditation, these devotees deeply pray for the
blessings of Spirit on all who seek God’s assistance.
Hundreds of thousands have received physical, mental, and
spiritual help through this service.
