1 Can I have more than one website Firstly we recommend only one web page to one user. However, the ultimate freedom of choice is yours.

So, Yes, why not. Two requirements are needed.

a. You will need a new email address to send it to.
b. You will need a new login name.

Note that since we are connecting up areas of Ranchi.com, especially, the academic areas, the matching ID will be the email address.

2 Can I have more that one picture on my web site Sorry, presently we are only allowing one picture. That's it. Depending upon the response to membership we may increase it in the future.
3. Why is only jpg or jpeg pictures only allowed. This is to avoid any huge picture like a BMP or TIFF. These go the size of megabytes. Not good for this server. They will kick us out.
Also, jpg is the default picture type on the web.
Gif image type is proprietary. So we always avoid that, as we have to manipulate pictures on the server. (In case some body sends up a huge picture.)

Finally jpgs allow great clarity and are small, easy to manipulate, and easy to get.

4. What is the purpose of these websites.
  • This is to allow those Jharkhandis an easy mechanism to define themselves on the web.
  • Businesses to have their own site, so they can advertise who they are, where they are etc.
  • Students to display their skill set.
  • Anyone else who has a yearning to just get involved with the web from Jharkhand, but never knew how to or where to start.
  • The purposes are limitless. Its upto your imagination.
5. Why are there only so few designs to choose for my web page.

Sorry folks. We are only a limited team at Ranchi.com. Our labour of love for Ranchi and Jharkhand, does not allow us to make limitless web designs.

However YOU can make your web design of your choosing. (Just have the same written content as what is displayed). Then email us with that design. We'll do our best to put it up as a design choice. (Of course if its of appropriate nature).
6. Why don't you allow us to choose our own colours for the website. Its easy to do. Same reason as above. One day, we will allow it. Not now. Please bear with us.
7. Why do you not let us change our login name. This login name needs to be unique and not changeable. Also its easier to enter than an email address.
It allows us to identify you and eventually, will be one of the basis for giving out 'someone'@ranchi.com  email addresses.
8. I've lost my password, login, email. What do I do. You contact us at info@ranchi.com It will be sent to your registered email. If you have none, then OOPS, can't send you.
9. Can I give suggestions to improve this site. Of course. All suggestions are very welcome. Contact us at info@ranchi.com or go the suggestion area.

10 Why is there a charge for this facility.

Ranchi.com has been mostly a labour of love by Nath Hospital. The expenses by them has been quite large, since it opened .

What we offer, is the continued interactivity of Ranchi.com, a responsive team, your own personal webpage, which is easy to use and needs no knowledge of programming.
