Mr. James Carrick, The first secretary (Political), Canadian High Commission visited Nath Hospital on 9th April 2004.

Mr. Carrick arrived in the hospital at 09.30 AM. He was received and welcomed by Dr.(Mrs.) Usha Nath, FRCOG, Medical Director and Mr Tarun the PRO of the hospital.

Mr. Carrick first explained about himself and the purpose of his visit, He said he had been in India for over 3 years. He wished to know about the Hospital which was explained to him in detailed by Dr. (Mrs.) Usha Nath. He was taken round of the hospital and he saw the infrastructures and facilities provided by the hospital. He took detailed information about the present condition and future plans of the hospital. He was impressed by the hospital motto to help the public in need from its inception. He was also told about the free weekly clinic run by the hospital for poor mother and people over 60 years of age. Interestingly Mr. Carrick found out about the hospital through www.ranchi.com before coming to Ranchi.

Mr. Carrick was visiting Ranchi to gain the information about the newly formed State of Jharkhand. The objective of his visit was to gain an understanding of the issues at play in the forthcoming national elections and the future political direction of this new State. Jharkhand is one of Canadian International Development Agency’s focus state for development project. In the 1st meeting on 9th April 2004, Mr. Carrick visited Nath Hospital, one of the famous hospital of the capital.

Mr. D. Nath (Chairman), Dr. (Mrs.) Usha Nath (Medical Director), Dr. Narendra Nath (Finance Director), Mr. Tarun Kumar (PRO) and Mr. Sheo Narayan (Administrator, Computer Department) and all staffs of Nath Hospital were present on the occasion.
