INTRODUCTION

Nath Hospital was established on 7th March 1998 at Indra-Bhawan, Kadru, Ranchi-8340012.
It belongs as a division of the corporate body of “ Nath Medical and Social Services Private Ltd. Company”.
Nath Hospital is completely financed by the foreign exchange remittance of the Nath Family.

All the members of the Nath Family are Non-Resident Indians for many years. They have established presences in the UAE, UK and USA.
It is now that the head of this family, Dr. (Mrs) Usha Nath and Devendra Nath, have decided to return permanently to their home-town of Ranchi. They have been Non-Residents for over 31 years. While both are returning to take care of their investments at Ranchi and give the benefit of their expertise and experiences to their own people, their three sons, one daughter and grand-children, are all settled in the USA, and continue to remain Non-Resident Indians. 

Dr. (Mrs) Usha Nath and D. Nath returns around 15th January, 2001. The Nath Hospital is going to be immensely benefited with the vast expertise, knowledge and experience of Dr. Usha Nath gathered over the period in the best hospitals of the U.K. and U.A.E. While continuing to be a non-resident Indian, it was the management and organizational skill of D. Nath that he has successfully established the entire infrastructure of the Nath Hospital at Indra-Bhawan and residence at 214-C, Ashoknagar with his short stays over the years. This success has made it possible for them to return and look forward to give their best in the service of the people in their home-town, Ranchi.

DR. USHA NATH - The Chief Consultant

Dr. (Mrs) Usha Nath has now returned to Ranchi for permanent residence at her house at 214-C, Ashoknagar. She is now available for consultation at the Nath Hospital daily except Sunday from 11.00AM to 1.00PM, and at her residence at 214-C, Ashoknagar from 9.00 to 10.30AM and 5.00PM to 8.00PM.

Dr. Nath is the first batch Medical graduate from the Rajendra Medical College & Hospital at Ranchi in 1965.

She has worked at the Nagarmal Modi Seva Sadan as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist from 1967 to mid 1969, and had her private practice at Ratu Road.

In July 1969 she moved to the U.K.. worked in the most modern Hospitals and obtained her M.R.C.OG. in 1975, thereafter worked in senior positions as Registrar and Consultant in top Hospitals till September 1981.

She was selected in London for appointment as a top Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Al Zahra Hospital at Sharjah in the U.A.E. She joined this most modern general Hospital in September 1981, and soon her reputation as an excellent Obstetrician and Gynaecologist spread in the middle-east countries neighbouring to the U.A.E. She was granted the fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologist of London,UK (F.R.C.O.G.). She became a very sought after Obstetrician in the middle-east.

However, Dr. Nath's ultimate desire remained to return to her home town at Ranchi and give the benefit of her knowledge and proven expertise to the people there. With this objective always in mind, she invested a large portion of her hard-worked foreign earining in establishing the Nath Hospital at the Indra Bhawan, Kadru, and constructed her residence at 214-C, Ashoknagar. She has now resigned from Al Zahra Hospital with the sole ambition to serve her own people.

She will be available for consultation on all types of Obstetric and Gynaecological problems. She is very much interested in the treatment of all types of infertility in the women, as well as in the management and preventions of various gynaecological cancers. As soon as she settles at Ranchi, she will have ultrasound, laproscopy, colposcopy diagnostics and treatment.
